Google Reviews
Powered by GoogleI would also like to thank the previous reviewer for bringing attention to the issues with Natalie. Reading that review was reassuring because it confirmed that my experience was not an isolated incident. I have personally had several unpleasant interactions with Natalie, and unfortunately, each encounter has left me feeling unwelcome and quite sad. Customer service should be built on respect, professionalism, and courtesy, but that has not been my experience. She often comes across as having an attitude, appears frustrated when assisting members, and frequently gives the impression that she would rather be anywhere else than helping guests who support and fund this facility. As a long-time member, I understand that everyone can have a difficult day from time to time. However, when negative interactions become a pattern rather than an exception, it reflects poorly on the City as a whole. Members should feel valued and respected whenever they enter the facility, regardless of the situation. I believe Natalie would greatly benefit from additional training in customer service, communication skills, and conflict resolution. A friendly attitude, patience, and a willingness to help go a long way in creating a positive environment for members. The Rec Center has many staff members who consistently demonstrate these qualities, which makes the contrast even more noticeable. My hope is that management takes these concerns seriously and provides the coaching and support necessary to improve member experiences moving forward. I have enjoyed being a member for many years and would like to continue feeling welcomed and appreciated when I visit the facility.
6.6.2026 - I have been a member of the Recreation Center since before 2013 and, until recently, have always had positive experiences with both the facility and its staff. Unfortunately, I had a concerning interaction with staff member Natalie in April 2026. The situation was handled in a manner that I felt was inappropriate and uncomfortable. Matters involving policy changes or member concerns should be addressed privately, respectfully, and professionally, rather than in a public gym setting or in a way that feels confrontational. I believe all members deserve to be treated with courtesy, respect, and professionalism. While I appreciate that the manager reached out to me afterward to discuss the incident, the experience left a negative impression and has made me hesitant to return to the center. I am sharing this feedback in the hope that future interactions with members reflect the welcoming and professional environment I have enjoyed for many years
I wish you could reply to reviews. The last reviewer is just factually incorrect. You can absolutely use the basketball court - but not when it is reserved for a designated youth sports event… those don’t happen often. Been coming here a while. Staff is great. I’ve played basketball here. I really like the pickleball group. The instructors for the group classes are so much fun.
You are not allowed to use the basketball court to train or develop your child on their basketball court…. We went to practice shooting and in a matter of mins they are in there to tell me we can’t train…. But they do make you pay to use the court. I’m confused where do you practice basketball if it’s not on a court…
Great facility, I enjoy the pickleball and see a lot of people also showing up for basketball. Vanessa and especially Timmy are so great to work with and care a lot for their community. The programming they put out is awesome. The front desk staff is also always so friendly, and the management keeps everything clean. Thank you Pflugerville Parks and Rec!!!
