Outside The Box Labs runs outdoor science and survival day camps for children in the Pittsburgh area, held at Allegheny County parks such as North Park. Its Science Adventure Camps teach hands-on natural-science and wilderness skills, including fire-starting, water purification, orienteering, bow-building, fishing, and shelter-building, in weekly sessions running roughly 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Our son then started attending their summer camp as soon as he was old enough. He loves being outdoors and I love how OTB incorporates science and learning in a way that he learns without recognizing it! While he is no longer able to participate (due to age and being now in 9th grade), he was thrilled to complete a summer internship with them. Talman is great with all ages and groups. He recently presented to our Junior Girl Scout Troop - it was awesome to say the least! Our girls (and the leaders) loved every minute of it and each of us were given the opportunity to participate. Talman and the other instructors at OTB Labs know how to make science fun! I highly recommend them and they are wonderful for After School Programs as well. I look forward to upcoming classes and events.
