What an asset for local children! My son had his second grade field trip here and he absolutely loved it. So when I saw they were offering a three day nature camp I signed him up. He had a great time and his only complaint was that he wished it was five days instead of three. Every day he came home telling me facts about squirrels, porcupines, trees and how to collect water samples etc. It was grossly hot and humid and the camp leaders did a great job keeping everyone safe. My son said they hiked in the mornings for heat purposes. The area is very heavily shaded so I didn’t really have to worry about sunburn though they did make sure everyone had sunscreen on. I would highly recommend any activity here for kids.
