OFC Creations Theatre Center runs the ROC Summer Theatre Experience, an eight-week slate of musical theatre camps in which campers stage more than 22 full musical productions across the summer, performing at the OFC Creations Theatre Center at 3450 Winton Place in Brighton and at the Kodak Center in Rochester. Campers work on acting, singing, and dancing with the theatre's professional staff. OFC Creations is a professional theatre founded in 2005 that also runs school field trips, community events, and school-year classes and camps. ★★★★D RI love this Theater but I’m begging you to please stop serving everything in plastic cups and plates. They are used for 15 minutes and then into the landfill they go. At the very minimum, please at least recycle all the plastic instead of throwing it away! It’s the responsible thing to do.
★Andy CHorrible venue, horrible production of The Grinch! My wife and I were so excited to see The Grinch Musical after the absolutely excellent performance the previous year at the Rochester Auditorium Theater. The 2025 production at the OFC "Theater" failed in every way, and left us entirely disappointed. As another reviewer mentioned, this is not a "theater", it's a repurposed commercial building in "scenic" Henrietta NY (not Rochester!). The seating is terrible, they added in extra seats on the ends of the rows, and you have to literally strain your neck to see center stage. As mentioned, this is a blatant money-grab for an already well overpriced performance. There was no live orchestra!!! How can you have a musical without an orchestra? They literally turned the CD on, and played it over horrible PA speakers. You might as well stay home and listen to a recored version of The Grinch; the audio quality would be much, much better. The cast, crew and production were all terrible. There were no decorations, no theatrics, the costumes all looked like old sweaters - this was basically a junior high school level production. There were very few adult actors, they mostly used local kids, and none of them were talented at all. The "singing" was terrible, but good news - it was very hard to hear with the "premium" sound system at this venue. We were so, so looking forward to this after the absolutely wonderful time we had at the Rochester Auditorium Theater the previous year, but this years production at the OFC was a complete disappointment in every way. I cannot overstate this - it was a horrible experience!!! It should go without saying that we left at intermission. Looking back, I am simply in shock at what I was charged for these tickets compared to the production value and level of professionalism received - what a rip off! We will continue to see a variety of musical performances at the Geva Theater and the Rochester Auditorium Theater, but it is absolutely one and done for this OFC. Again, junior high school level production quality, with full price tickets - never again! You have been warned.
