The Oak Ridge Recreation Center runs the City of Oak Ridge Recreation & Parks summer day camp for children ages 6-15 (must have completed kindergarten), operating 9:00am to 4:00pm with early drop-off from 7:30am and late pick-up until 5:30pm. Each week includes field trips, transportation, special events, daily snacks and visits to venues such as the indoor pool and roller rink. Camp costs $140 per week.

★Mmj HhjExtremely disappointed with my visit on March 19th. the lady at the front desk was rude and not helpful. she did a good job at making me feel like i was an outsider who inconvenienced her with my questions about the pool. the pool was great. we tried to use the basketball court which according to the posted calendar was to be open for free play until 2pm that day, but we were told that we couldn't use the court bc of spring break camp. Yet there was not a single child there for this camp. then we tried to use the game room which was completely empty and the calendar said it would be available however we were told that we couldn't be in there bc of the spring break camp. we never saw a single day camper in the facility?? my son and I did not feel like we were welcome to use the community center. hopefully next time it will be better.
