Deane Hill Community Center is one of nine City of Knoxville community centers hosting the city's Parks and Recreation summer camp. Camp runs 8:00am to 4:00pm on weekdays from early June through late July for children ages 6-12, at roughly $50 per week for city residents plus a one-time registration fee that includes a camp shirt; non-residents pay a higher rate. Children must have turned 6 by the start of camp.

So I thought he was having fun but he recently told me that they hit him. They hit him in the face, in the testicles, in the stomach. He obviously didn't mean to tell me because he started defending them right away by saying that their hits don't hurt much. He wants to fit in and be part of the group. So the following day I went and spoke with one of the staff members about this constant bullying, which should result in the bullies being kicked out of the program. The woman I spoke to was extremely rude and said "I'm sorry, you can only report things like this right when it happens." My son doesn't want to leave the summer camp, so I told him to stay away from those boys and if they hit you or say anything to you then tell a supervisor immediately and if they are not kicked out of the summer camp even then, then next time they touch you, take them down.
