Not a Clue Adventures, based in Kathleen near Lakeland, is a small outdoor guide service run by Jeanene Arrington Fisher, offering single- and multi-day camping, hiking, backpacking, and kayaking adventures plus outdoor-skills classes. It runs school programs for grades pre-K-8 and hands-on outdoor activities for all ages, with equipment and meals provided on most trips. It functions as a guided outdoor-education service rather than a traditional fixed-site summer camp.

Powered by GoogleI love going to Crowley Museum and being on the property. . . the farm animals/rescues being treated so well and living freely is heartwarming - the volunteers I have met have this place as "home" in their hearts. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite Florida places!
Wow, what a magical experience! We booked with Jeanene for our son's first camping trip, and she made it absolutely perfect! Will be booking again, and again, and again....
This is my very first review so I hope I can express how truly amazing are the experiences with Jeanene and Not a Clue Adventures. I have known Jeanene for many years, but life doesn’t always allow for me to get outside as much as I would like. For as terrible as 2020 has been, the highlight to date is the time with Jeanene. I have had three adventures with her this year and two were for my eight-year-old daughter. February 2020 - Jeanene with Not a Clue Adventures hosted my daughter’s birthday party this year. We had a campout at her property. The girls had such a fantastic time. They got to learn about cooking with a Dutch oven (they got to eat the green beans they cooked on an open fire), feeding the horses, a scavenge hunt on the property, lots of activities to keep them busy. And of course – the coup de gras was SMORES at the end of the night. Several of the girls had not spent a night away from their families much less in a tent and they all did fantastic. Safety is the upmost concern for Jeanene, so the girls were free to just have a blast. June 2020 – Hike at Brooker Creek Headwaters – Not only is Jeanene knowledgeable but she surrounds herself with knowledgeable people. I recently accompanied a hike with a Not a Clue Adventure group to Brooker Creek Headwaters. It was an easy 5 mile hike – didn’t feel like it. While on the hike, we go to see Florida Pitcher plants – so cool. If you don’t know, pitcher plants are carnivorous and little bitty. We found some wild blueberries and how some other various edibles on the trail (sorry Jeanene – I am a terrible student and can’t remember). We took a snack break about half way and stopped to take pictures and chat about the different places to hike, camp and kayak. This hike was not geared towards lil hikers but I can’t wait to set one up for my Girl Scouts. And I want to give a big shout out to Melanie Joy – one of the guides who always has something informative and fun to add and Kat Cline of Aura Apotheca who showed us the good – St John’s Wort – and the really bad – Destroying Angel Mushroom. June 2020 – Kayaking with my eight year old – Jeanene took my daughter, Abigail, and me kayaking to Seven Sisters Springs on the Chassahowitzka River in Homosassa. Abigail had never been kayaking before (and I am not a strong kayaker). Jeanene made Abigail feel safe and comfortable with some basic lessons in steering and stopping and rules of the river. Once we had that in place, we had a leisurely paddle to the springs were Abigail got to jump out and play. We then paddled around a little more and Jeanene pointed out the wildlife – Abigail’s favorite was the “bird snake.” We went back to the springs for a little more fun in cool spring water and then back to shore. It was the perfect amount of time to keep her interested and wanting to do more. It is so important to raise the next stewards of our environment and the best way to make it fun (the education comes along naturally) My goal this year to to get out with Not a Clue Adventures many more times this year – Ladies Camp Out night? Jingle Bell Camp? CUMBERLAND??????
Jaenene with Not a Clue Adventures organized the most amazing birthday party for my twin girls turning 7. We camped overnight at the Crowley Nature Museum & Preserve. Our family loves camping but we've never braved summer camping in FL, let alone camping with 20 children. Jaenene had everything set up and added so many details to the party. Our family and our friends had the best time. She's amazing!
My family has done numerous trips with Not a Clue Adventures. The latest was a kayaking trip. It was wonderful. She and her team were there to help us if needed. We had a great time at the springs. My son has been begging for us to get Jeanene to take us out kayaking again! Can't wait!
