Camp Owen J. Brorein in Odessa is the Greater Tampa Bay Area Council's oldest Boy Scouts of America camp (founded 1923), on more than 80 acres between two lakes. It hosts Cub Scout Day Camp for children entering 1st through 5th grade, with bouldering/climbing/rappelling walls, canoes and kayaks, and a shooting-sports range for BBs, slingshots and archery. Camp is run through the Scouting council.

★★★★★FelixWe booked an event here in May for a bit over 200 people. The park is beautiful and has all the amenities you need. The Park Ranger Wayne is very attentive and has a passion for making sure the park is taken good care of. He will help you with anything you need. The Greater Tampa Bay council are great with helping you book and needs throughout your stay. Christine, Jason and Matt(our coordinator) were great in explaining and helping you through the process. We will definitely book here again and again.
★★★David MckibbinFacilities were nice. BB guns, archery, had great instructors for the kids. The climbing instructor had an attitude about supporting the kids. We asked the instructor if they could demonstrate to the kids the proper way to climb. The Instructor stated there was no time to show these kids who have never done it to safely do it. It was a First time for these 7-8 year olds. He had a parent assistant climbing to replace blocks with no harness. Very poor example for these kids that are the future for scouting.
★★★★★NicoleBeautiful campground! Just don’t make the park ranger mad. 😂 Bathrooms were clean and stocked all weekend. Camping store has essentials like ice and drinks. Has 2 Gaga ball pits and a basketball court. Be prepared for lots of dirty kids as the main drive is sandy dirt which somehow manages to get everywhere. Plan on showering there.
★★★C FoNice camp grounds. Unfortunately, when we arrived, there was no one at that gate and we didn't see the map to the right or any signs to tell us where to go. The park ranger chased us down and hassled me because I didn't know there was a map, let alone that I was supposed to consult the map! First time visitor and all. Ranger was rude and abrupt and yelled at me for not seeing the map or knowing I was even supposed to look at the map. At other Boy Scout camp grounds, there are signs, people to direct you, etc. Here we got a park ranger who needs a course in people skills!
★Susana FigueredoIf I could give zero stars I would. This place is not worth the $53 (2 adults and 2 children). Do not waste your money. We went for the pumpkin patch and it was very disappointing to see a few sad farm animals, a destroyed corn maze, a few places to eat and seat. The pumpkin area was pitiful. I hope that the money at least goes to feed and take care of the animals.
