Northwest Art Center is a nonprofit art center in downtown Duvall running week-long summer camps for youth in both fine and digital art - drawing and painting, pastels, pottery, fashion, digital character design and illustration, digital animation, and Lego robotics. Class sizes are kept small so each student gets hands-on guidance, and camps start at about $340 per week. Founded in 2004 by two local artists, it became a 501(c)(3) charity in 2009 and also runs after-school programs and adult workshops.

I took a hand building pottery class. Great experience. Very nice teacher. The materials were ready to go and the instruction was great! Environment is cozy and creative. I would go again.

I cannot say enough good things about the Northwest Art Center! Our daughter attended a few art camps this summer, the first being in Redmond at a much pricier location, and we had a less than awesome experience with them. The following week, she attended camp at NWAC and had 10x the experience in fewer hours and for a much lower cost! Every day she came home excited to go back and always had several items that she had made, all different mediums. Unlike the other camp, she looked forward to going back each morning and was sad the camp didnt run longer throughout the day, she enjoyed it so much. Before looking at "high-end" or expensive camps in Redmond or Woodinville, check out NWAC where their instructors are top notch and the instruction always leaves the kids happier by the end of the session!

I absolutely love the Northwest Art Center! They offer such a wide variety of classes, which has given me the chance to try new things and grow creatively. I’ve taken multiple classes here, and each one has been a great experience—fun, welcoming, and well-run. I also really enjoy their free community events, especially Community Art Day. It’s a fantastic way to connect with others and celebrate creativity. Highly recommend for anyone looking to learn something new or get involved in the local art scene!

We have had two birthday parties for our kid in this place and we have a lot of fun! Our guests also had a great time. We like such birthday parties where kids could learn and demonstrate themselves. The art pieces are the best "goodie bags" for kids! We will definitely continue our art journey with Northwest Art Center!

Had a great experience tonight! I came in with my 6 year old daughter and her best friend, and the woman was so incredibly helpful and patient with the kiddos. She was a joy and made it so much fun for them! The prices are extremely reasonable. Most items are around $10-12 and a pretty decent selection for such a small town. I would say there really was no difference between here and the fancy place in Redmond Town Center except half the price. Fun space and a lot of room for parties, classes etc. What a hidden little gem! And they have gift certificates, which is how we heard about them - my daughter got a gift certificate for her birthday. Highly recommended!
