Northern Lakes Canoe Base is a Girl Scouts wilderness tripping camp about 20 miles north of Ely, on the edge of the Boundary Waters. Since the 1960s it has run fully outfitted 3-, 5-, 7- and 10-day canoe trips into the Boundary Waters and Quetico Provincial Park for Girl Scouts ages 12 to 18. Operated by the Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin Lakes and Pines Council.
