We've been taking music classes through Music Together SF for several years now and it's a fantastic program. Despite the 'SF' in the name this franchise also offer classes in Pacifica and Half Moon Bay if you are based along the coast. We've taken classes across multiple locations and multiple teachers over the years and have really liked all of them! This class runs on a semester basis - each semester you focus on a set series of songs with the teacher selecting different ones each week to focus on. Outside of class you have access to an app so you can play the songs in the car etc. so your child (and you) can become more familiar with them. Despite being 'children's songs' as an adult I ended up really liking a lot of them and looking forward each week to seeing which songs we would be doing (you will have to try a class to see what I mean!). The classes follow a familiar structure each week - starting with the 'hello' song, a range of songs in the middle (with props such as scarfs, shakers etc.), 'instrument time' (a whole host of instruments for kids for them to play along with a song in the background) and finishing with the 'goodbye' song. If you're really lucky - and take a class with Teacher Nelson - your child might then have a chance to play a harp! Classes are pretty informal - if a child wants to just watch or move around or put things in their mouth(!) - the teachers are used to this and you as the parent don't need to worry so much about trying to get your child to behave and interact perfectly at every moment (quite a relief when you have a highly sensitive toddler!). TLDR: Do a trial class, or a few classes and listen to the songs at home - and you'll soon be on your way to being a big fan of this class I'm sure!

I've been doing Music Together with my kids for 5 years and it's been such a great experience! Teacher Megan is the best, she truly connects with the kids, and I love watching my kids enjoy/sing/dance. I look forward to it every week as well, a chance to step away from the world for an hour and immerse myself in music.

My daughter has been going to Music Together classes with Teacher Megan for 6 months. It's been a big part of her weekly routine and she leaves each class with a smile! She loves music class so much that one of her favorite things to do at home is pull out her Music Together books and listen/dance to 'Hello Everyone'. We love Music Together and Teacher Megan!

This review is for classes with Teacher Heather at the St. Francis Church location. These classes are wonderful and I highly recommend them. Teacher Heather is a great instructor. My daughter loves to sing and play instruments because of these classes. The CDs that come with enrollment are excellent and contain really special and unique children's music that we play in the car constantly and sing throughout the day. I am so impressed with the Music Together curriculum. These classes are an invaluable experience at the crucial developmental stage of early childhood, so I highly recommend them to all parents.

Music together is a wonderful program. I have taken two of my daughters for several years and fully intend to take my third daughter as well when she is 6 months old. The program is rooted in solid musical theory with a philosophy that is very open, creative, and inclusive. The teachers are true gems and come from varied musical backgrounds which makes the experience even richer. Now here is the best part: it is super fun for my kids and me. We thoroughly enjoy every class, we listen to the cd's, we play the songs on our piano and we dance to our own versions at home. I wholeheartedly recommend music together.
