Fun, fun, fun, fun! What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon! The first flooor is all about Florida, inkckusing oregistroic Florida, a hurricane area and an area about the importance of coral Upstairs is your more typical science museum, body/health, aviation and a Dave and busters-esque area with science twist. I didn’t have a chance to watch any of the imax movies but I can imagine that they are fantastic as well; I’ll update my review once I get a chance to go I recommend this for both locals and tourists alike! Me and my 3-year-old son had an absolutely wonderful time at the Museum of Discovery and Science. From the moment we arrived, there was something exciting to see and do around every corner. One of my favorite things about this museum is how interactive it is. Instead of just looking at exhibits, children are encouraged to explore, touch, build, experiment, and learn through play. My son was completely engaged throughout our visit and loved moving from one exhibit to the next to see what he could discover. The museum does a great job balancing education and fun. There were exhibits focused on science, nature, animals, and technology, all presented in a way that was easy for young children to understand and enjoy. I also appreciated that there were activities and displays that adults could enjoy alongside their children, making it a true family experience rather than just a place for kids. As a parent, I also want to mention one of the best hidden gems about this museum. Families who participate in WIC can visit through the Museums for All program for only $4 per person with a valid photo ID and WIC card. In today's economy, finding educational family activities at this price point is incredible, and it makes experiences like this much more accessible for families. The museum was clean, well-maintained, and the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We spent hours exploring and easily could have stayed longer. If you're looking for a fun, educational, and budget-friendly family outing in South Florida, I highly recommend visiting. We made some wonderful memories together and will definitely be back for another side quest soon. 💜🔬👩‍👦✨

Glad to have come on a free event instead of paying to be honest. It's a shame to see how some of the "rides" so to say are just becoming screen based.The hologram theater was really cool but we really could not see much because we were in the back and the holograms were too low. It's mainly a kids playground instead of what it used to be like when I would come here when I was younger. We still come here too see the changes but more and more I just am loosing interesting. Loved seeing the reptiles like always along with the aquatic sections.

We recently visited the Museum of Science and Discovery, and it was a fantastic experience for the whole family. The museum is very interactive and engaging, especially for kids. There are plenty of hands-on exhibits that make learning fun, from physics and engineering displays to wildlife and environmental sections. The STEM-focused exhibits are well thought out and keep children curious and involved. Our kids particularly loved the aviation and space sections, as well as the live animal exhibits. The outdoor science park was another highlight—great for burning off some energy while still learning. The staff was friendly and helpful, and everything felt clean and well-maintained. It can get a bit crowded on weekends, so going early is a good idea. Overall, it’s a great place to spend a few hours with kids—educational, fun, and worth the visit. Definitely recommended for families looking for a meaningful and enjoyable outing.

We all had the best time at MODS. My nephew who is 9 and loves science especially loved it. The woman from whom I bought the tickets was so sweet and helpful. My nephew loved the iMAX movie Wild Asia (It was really well done.), the wind simulator and the airplane section. Unfortunately, a lot of the simulators didn’t work so he was a bit disappointed. He still liked climbing in the planes. He also liked seeing the big thing at the front with the balls going through the thing that looked like a Ferris wheel. I loved the hockey exhibit. It was really well done and was neat to learn the history of hockey especially the Stanley Cup. Being from Pittsburgh, I loved seeing Sydney Crosby represented in the players area. It was also neat to see the skates, puck and sticks evolve over time. If you have kids (especially if they love science and now sports while the hockey exhibit) definitely come visit.
