Powered by GoogleI had a wonderful time at this camp. My counselors were always understanding and really nice. The activities do sometimes change week to week or get canceled in the rain, but are always fun. The food is delicious. I made so many friends. I grew closer with God. And i would definitely recommend.
My daughters have been attending Mt. Gilead Camp for four years now. This is the highlight of their summers! They love archery, horsemanship, pottery, nature walks, s'mores and worship by the campfire, pool time, and having fun at the pond. They invite and bring a new friend to Mt. Gilead every summer! The counselors are wonderful and keep in touch with the girls even throughout the year. Our family has been blessed with a scholarship every summer and we couldn't be more grateful. Best memories of summer fun, friendships, spiritual growth, and recreational activities!
Mt. Gilead is, without a doubt, the best summer camp my daughter has ever attended. Her first experience last year made such an impression on her that she has quite firmly decided she wants to return every summer and even work there when she's old enough! God's love shines through the counselors, they became like big sisters to the girls. Every one I had any interaction with was honestly delightful. They're positive, kind and helpful, such great role models for the campers. The grounds and facilities are well kept, clean and tidy, the animals are very well looked after. The staff is simply amazing and so are the programs and activities. Even the maintenance and repair team were so nice! Although it was my first time as a parent leaving my daughter in their care, by the time I had signed her in, set her up in her cabin and met her cabin counselors, walked around the camp, took her to do the swimming test with the lifeguard, etc. I felt very much at ease and so did my daughter. She seriously did have the time of her life! Thank you, Mt. Gilead!
My 3 daughters (aged 12, 14, and 16) all attended Mt. Gilead last summer for the first time. They loved their week there so much, that they begged to go back for a second week--we had them home for a bit, and then sent them back for more fun! They're already counting the days until they return this summer. They loved the camp setting itself, all the many fun activities (swimming, archery, horse back riding, various arts & crafts and much more!) and the fellowship and friendship with other Christian girls. The counselors were wonderful as well. Our daughters made many new friends and life long memories! My husband and I are so grateful that we found Mt. Gilead. We appreciate the opportunity for our girls to spend a week away from screens and be fully immersed in nature with other young believers--they definitely grew stronger & bolder in their faith.
We LOVE Mt. Gilead Camp! Our daughter looks forward to camp every summer. The staff are friendly and inviting. The kids have many activities to choose from. While this is a Christian based camp, a kiddo with no religious background is still welcome. They teach them from the level they're at and include them right in the mix.
