Mount Vernon Community Children's Theatre Summer Camp
Private
Mount Vernon Community Children's Theatre runs performance-based summer camps at Heritage Presbyterian Church in the Fort Hunt area of Alexandria, for rising 1st through rising 8th graders grouped by age. Each two-week session has a morning musical theatre block (9am-12pm, vocal technique and choreography) and an afternoon acting block (1pm-4pm, scene work and characterization); campers can register for either or stay all day 9am-4pm with a packed lunch, and every session ends in a performance on the final Friday. 2026 themes include K-Pop, Disney, Wicked and a spy-themed session, with standalone one-day workshops in August. Each group is led by a professional teaching artist with a high school or college assistant, and there is an automatic 5% sibling discount.
