The City of Morehead City Recreation Center runs a municipal summer day camp for children ages 5-11 who have completed kindergarten. Camp runs weekdays roughly 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. across the summer and includes daily field trips, crafts, gym time, field day, and water day. For 2026 the program is being held at Carteret Community College during a facility renovation.
