Great Experience at Modern Motion Dance School!!! My fiancé and I wanted to take hip-hop dance lessons for a surprise first dance at our upcoming wedding reception. Kate, the Dance Director at Modern Motion Dance School, was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the process. With only five weeks to go before our wedding, Kate not only found us an amazing dance instructor, Emily, who customized the perfect routine for us, but she also worked around our busy wedding planning schedule. Emily brought the perfect blend of energy, expertise, patience, and encouragement to each class. Her choreography was both challenging and fun, and she had a fantastic way of breaking down complex moves so that we were able to follow along and learn. We started dance class each having two left feet, and five weeks later we were confident dancers with an awesome hip-hop first dance. We definitely surprised all of our guests, and thanks to modern technology, we now have many camera angles of our dance (lol) with a ton of great reviews! We cannot thank Emily enough for creating and teaching an unforgettable first dance! Modern Motion is a wonderful small dance school. Warm, caring and talented instructors, a very family business feel and very reasonable prices. My daughter has been going there for over 5 years and loves the school and the staff. The instruction is great and the teachers are just wonderful with the students; I've seen many shy kid slowly encouraged to feel confident at this school. If you're a dad they even have a "me and my guy" dance for most recitals where you go with your kid once a month for a few months to learn a dance with your child and perform it during the recital. Don't worry if you have no dancing abilities at all; they'll show you what to do and support the whole process.

I love this dance school. My daughters have been attending since they were 3 1/2 years old. We took a year off but came back because the teachers are dedicated and loving towards the children. This is not an over the top competitive school where kids are treated as an opportunity to win a trophy. Children are nurtured and teachers allow the dancers' personalities to come through in class and on the stage. The school is organized and you always know what to expect. My daughters are more confident because of their dancing classes at Modern Motion!
