Mission Science Workshop is a nonprofit hands-on science and engineering workshop with three San Francisco sites; the Excelsior site sits on Mission Street. Programming includes guided school field trips, after-school workshops run with partners such as the YMCA and Boys & Girls Club, free community drop-in days, and a summer camp. Kids build scooters, wire scribble-bots, dissect squid and explore the workshop's collection of bones, insects, rocks, magnets and microscopes.
