Powered by GoogleFlashback for me I went to the Miquon summer camp back in the mid-70s literally right after the play Barn was built it used to have netting like you would see on the side of a naval ship all strapped in so that the kids can climb all around on it the creek was extremely rememberable we used to make little dams and catch crayfish and salamanders the occasional gardener snake we used to find those weird rocks I forget what they were called but they're unique to that area I remember the stinging nettle very much what's constantly finding my way into a stinging nettle patch it was very cool back then our counselors name of nature Neil for free Jane they were all hippies everybody played guitar for us we sat in circles they passed around little instruments was a very active and hands on Camp and if it was anything like it was in the 70s now you have your kid in the right spot now when I was there it was a school in the winter and a camp in the summer I don't know if it's the same now will always be in my memories
Our daughter lives the camp. Everyone is super friendly and nice.
Our whole family loves Miquon Day Camp! It's what summer camp should be - lots of time outside, playing and exploring and swimming, plus arts & crafts and drama and more. The counselors are all great. My sons enjoyed their first week so much, they stayed for three, and they can't want to go back again next year!
