The Milwaukee Community Sailing Center runs summer youth sailing programs on Lake Michigan for kids ages 8 to 18, with a Prams group for ages 8-11 and a Youth group for ages 12-17 learning to sail from certified instructors. The nonprofit also runs 'Prams in the Park' outreach bringing sailing and water safety to Milwaukee-area kids.

MCSC was super accommodating when I just did a walk in and they let me check the place out and ask a ton of stupid questions without even a flinch. I just took their 10.1 class which was tailored to getting a newbie ready to sail very rapidly. The day after class ended, I was able to have a great day on a J24 with the excellent group that is here. I am totally hooked and would recommend MCSC to everyone!

As a queer person, my experiences at the Sailing Center have been outstanding. I wish I had written down our captains name because he was one of the finest human beings that you can ever meet on this planet!! So much fun.. so relaxing, so Zen.. The cap was when we returned to shore I offered him a generous tip and he simply said no thank you, your smiles are my tip.. This is what makes America best... Sharing your love with others and not expecting a thing 💕✌️ You MUST support these good people ✌️💕 It will be the BEST thing you ever do for yourself! The center was a perfect spot for our small do-it-yourself wedding. The catering company provided tables and chairs for the ceremony and reception. The instructors were patient but also very effective in their teaching. They make sure that you are confident in your abilities very early on and encourage continued learning. The team and community here is second to none. More people need to know about this place because everyone should take advantage of the huge lake we have in our backyard!
