We normally love this place, even booked my sons birthday here this coming summer! I coordinated with 7 other families to meet for open play today, I came inside a bit late after staying in the car to feed my newborn. When we got to check in we were denied entry because we did not “pre register” (but not one of our friends that were inside pre registered). We said we would happily wait for some kids to leave and still pay the full amount for entry if it was because they were at capacity, so my son could play with his friends and we told we can’t do that. Now I have a crying toddler who saw all of his friend playing through the doors and had been so excited to play with them the whole week. We are so disappointed mills.

We have been going to mills for twelve years now. My son was on the boys competitive team, my middle daughter did their gymnastics and tumbling classes, my youngest is currently on the girls competitive team. It's a great place for your child to build their skills and boost their confidence.

This place has an excuse for everything when a bad review is written - never once will they state they need to review their ethics or protocols. Today they called my wife stating they were banning my child due to an issue at open gym. However my wife was there the entire time watching my child and there never appeared to be an issue. When my child went to address a coach and say hi, the coach blew her and my wife off as an inconvenience. Was very rude to a 10 year old child. When addressed, management stated the coach was having "personal issues" excusing the rude behavior and then went back to attacking a 10 year old for swearing. I'm not condoning what my child did but this is something that could have been addressed then and there. Again, my wife was sitting in the bleachers and the coach knew that. Nothing was said. Bottom line, if they like your kid it's all good, if they don't like your kid there are issues. We gave the place a 2nd chance after pulling our child back in the spring, again, coaching / child clashed and it's only the child's fault - but nothing they do is ever in the wrong, it's always a child's issues and they always handle everything correctly. They should put that on the front door - "We do everything correctly and have an excuse for everything" I won't waste my time here anymore. My child isn't having these issues at other venues or with other coaches. Amended - you mention the child used language with a coach and I won't deny that. Because the child approached the coach regarding an issue with other children on more then one occasion, only to be treated rudely and ignored by that "trained" coach. Honestly, I'd have probably said the same thing regardless of her having "personal issues" or not. Not everyone is cut out to be a coach and she should give serious consideration to a career change. Your staff has had multiple complaints from the reviews I have read here and other places and I have to wonder who is training them? They're basically high school kids, which has me wondering if they are incapable to handing these situations because they are overwhelmed or they're just incompetent due to the "training". My wife approached that same coach about another topic that same evening and received the same rude attitude the child received. This is your training? So yes, I will say you play favorites and if there is a child has an issue then that child is on the road to be black balled from your facility. You have an excuse for every complaint that comes your way - which I pointed out in the beginning, but word of the lack of professionalism from your staff, to both children and adults, has gotten out there. We were reluctant to come here in the first place and had no issues pulling our child when we did. We tried a simple open gym AND hung around so we too could witness the events you document. Your investigation based on a coach's statement - who you claim is having personal issues - is far from accurate.

Our family has been active with Mills Gymnastics for about 6 years and they are nothing short of spectacular. Most staff interactions are positive, friendly and encouraging. Gymnastics is a challenging sport both mentally and physically but Mills always finds a way to make it fun and engaging. We’re hopeful for many more years at Mills.
