My daughter started private lessons in January at age 4 (just turned 5) and was terrified of putting her face in the water. Learning to finally swim was extremely important to me, and Miller immediately understood my objective and paired her with incredibly experienced, confident instructors. We increased to twice-weekly private lessons in February, and by mid-March—after consistent lessons and a little extra pool time over spring break—it all clicked. She is now officially a swimmer. What’s most impressive is not just that she learned, but how she learned. Thanks to Miller’s strong focus on proper technique, she doesn’t look like a beginner at all. They truly build capable, confident swimmers—not just kids who can get by in the water. Even more meaningful: my daughter now walks into every lesson smiling, with zero hesitation, and is so proud of herself. That transformation—from fear to confidence—has been incredible to watch. Miller does an exceptional job meeting kids at any starting point and helping them progress quickly (if that’s your goal), safely, and with joy. Miller has been great. My daughter started out initially hating being in the water and now loves to swim and to show off all the skills she has learned over the past 2 years. All the teachers we have worked with have been great, but Ella in particular has been amazing. My daughter can't wait to get in the pool when she sees her and is excited throughout the week to show her the swim skills she has been practicing outside of class. She is quite devastated whenever Ella is out, but the team at Miller has been great with working us when that happens.

We absolutely love Ms. Sharon at Miller Swim School on 101st and Memorial! She is our almost-2-year-old daughter’s teacher, and my daughter responds so well to her calm, clear instructions. Ms. Sharon is patient, fun, encouraging, and truly knows how to work with toddlers. She also gives us helpful recommendations for things we can practice at home, which has made such a difference in helping our daughter feel more comfortable and confident in the water. My son started at Miller South in 2023 as part of the Toddler Transition class. We’re been with Miller for over two years now, and our experience has greatly exceeded my expectations. The instructors truly love the kids, and are committed to teaching them (and their parents!) how to enjoy the water safely. When my son’s swimming progress briefly stagnated, staff patiently listed to my concerns and went above and beyond to work with us on a solution. My son is now taking private lessons with Elliot and making wonderful progress. Elliot is a talented instructor who “gets” my kid and pushes him to be his best. I can’t say enough good things about the staff here. My only regret is not enrolling my son as an infant. I’m so glad we made the decision to enroll my son in swim and stick with it. The staff at Miller have been wonderful and supportive throughout this journey.
