Mid Hudson Valley Camp
MBCE - Mid Hudson Valley Camp LLC
The Mid-Hudson Valley Camp is the summer programme of the Marist Brothers Center at Esopus, which the operator describes as nine week-long sleep-away camps serving distinct populations: children and adults with developmental, mental and physical disabilities, deaf children, children living with cancer, and inner-city students. The camps are staffed entirely by volunteers and run consecutive weeks from late June through August on a riverside campus with an Olympic-sized pool, a sprinkler park and paddle boats; a posted daily schedule runs from a 7:00am wake-up through swims, field games and evening activities to a 9:00pm bedtime. Youth weeks include Special Kids 1 for ages 4-15 at $500 for the week, Sr. Pat's Camp, which is completely free to all campers, Sacred Heart for campers in second through eighth grade drawn primarily from the South Bronx, and Deaf Camp for deaf elementary and middle-school children from the New York City area. Founded and administered by the Marist Brothers, a Roman Catholic religious order, the camps admit by application and acceptance rather than open enrolment, and Special Kids 1 requires that every camper have an IEP in place.

A great place to break away from everyday life and really retreat from whatever you're stressed about. Theres great facilities with a basketball court, pool tables, dining hall, and ping pong tables, and it's an overall amazing experience.
I volunteered for the Marist Brothers on their property in Esopus, NY for 2 years and Graduated from Roselle Catholic (One of the Marist Brother High Schools) I also met my Wife for the first time 16 years ago on our Freshman High School Retreat on this very property. My Wife and I just spent the weekend in the Hermitage for our 1 Year Wedding Anniversary. I really can't even explain how much this place means to me and has done for me in my life but its not only the place but the people connected to it, there is nothing like being welcomed back with open arms, a great big smile, and a Welcome Home. Everytime my car drives past the front gates all my stress and problems melt away and I feel like the reset button has been hit. I have been so blessed to have had such a great outlet for so long and that I was able to share it with my Wife this weekend. Thank You & God Bless all the Marist Brothers and the Marist Family who put so much time and hard work into making this such a wonderful place.
What can I say about Esopus, its a wonderful camp rum by the Marist Bros. This camp is a special place for students and special camps who make life long memories. This camp embraces the philosophy " not for school but for life".
Outstanding camp center! The campers love it here.
