Metro Summer Program is a full-day camp running 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for grades K-6, built around a leadership curriculum and combining Brazilian jiu-jitsu and martial arts classes with indoor and outdoor sports, arts and crafts, team-building games, weekly field trips and on-site bounce houses. Families can enroll for the full summer at a discount or choose a partial program with a three-week minimum, and 2-, 3- or 5-day-per-week options are offered; enrollment starts with a phone call or campus tour. The program operates out of the Metro Jiu-Jitsu academy at 6596 Commerce Dr. in Westland, serving Canton and Westland families. Coaches pass level-2 background checks and are CPR and First Aid certified.
