Mad River Glen Ski School has taught skiers of all ages since 1948 at Mad River Glen, a cooperatively owned ski area in Fayston, Vermont. Kids can join the Junior Race Program from age 5 in the U8 group through high school, and the Mad River Glen Freeski Team trains junior skiers who compete at freeride events. The cooperative also runs the Cricket Club daycare, and the mountain has a single base area. Skiers have owned the mountain since 1995, and it keeps one of the last single chairlifts in the country and does not allow snowboarding.
