The Macoupin Art Collective (The MAC) is a nonprofit art center in downtown Staunton that runs kids' summer art courses every week from early June. Each course is four days of hands-on instruction — painting, sculpture, wheel throwing and wearable art among them — at $60 per course with all materials included. Some courses suit all ages and others set age limits, and enrollment is open by individual course rather than by full-summer session. The MAC also offers free hour-long art classes for kids at the Staunton Farmers Market on Saturdays in June.
