Living Waters Bible Camp

Every winter for the last two years, I have come for the RBC winter retreat and I'm never disappointed by Living Waters. The cabins are perfect and I love having a bathroom right in my cabin, which is also a short walking distance to the main building for meals, fellowship, and worship. The variety of outdoor activities is wonderful: broomball, ice skating, tubing, and skiing! The tec room ia nice for the moments to stay indoors too with football, table tennis, basketball and more. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. I look forward to returning to Living Waters again.

I have a list of why this place is so great! I am only giving a small overview, there are many other reasons, but these are what stood out to me. 1st off, the kitchen staff is so great! My child came here with dietary restrictions. Any parent who has to deal with that understands how awesome it is to be able to figure out the menu and not have to worry. It was no problem! The camp has an option for special dietary needs when signing up online. I talked with the kitchen manager multiple times to make sure we both knew what was needed, and he was excellent about it. 2nd, the drop-off process was a breeze. It was very simple and easy to follow the laid out instructions that were given as we came onto the property. They had a checklist with numbered stations. Once you had gone to each stations, you knew you had finished check-in. They even had wagons for the children to tote their belongings to and from their dorms. 3rd, my child had a blast! Learning about God's beautiful creation in such a gorgeous location is an amazing opportunity. I am so glad my child got to experience it. 4th, the programs they plan for the children are a great balance of learning about the Creator and His plan for us while having meaningful social interactions and good physical fitness opportunities. I feel very blessed to have this camp available to us. 5th, what an absolutely beautiful area. The grounds were well kept and maintained. Thank you, Camp Directors, Kitchen Staff, Maintenance, Teachers, Nurses, and all of the other Staff, and Volunteers who make this place a wonderful retreat and learning center. Went to a retreat with a different group that stayed at the camp. The camp was large and clean the food was good and staff were friendly... However they have a lone monkey in a small enclosure that watches Gilligan's island for enrichment... And behind their craft shelters next to their wood pile there is this creepy looking jail/holding enclosure that says "Welcome to China"... No where else was there anything like this that I saw, not even references to other countries. It gives sinister, racist vibes. I wouldn't let my child go there.

I was surprised how good everything was. The food was amazing, the property was very well kept, the cabins had ice cold AC, hot showers all day, laundry rooms, clean couches and chairs, playground, disc golf, climbing wall, slingshot contraption/ride, archery targets, trails for hiking or cycling. The teaching was great, the camp staff are super friendly and welcoming, and they're all in a good mood. There is a peacock that makes funny noises sometimes during the day, and a monkey (both in cages, haha). I had a wonderful experience
