Camp Send A Kid is a nonprofit that runs a free one-week summer camp for children ages 8–12 in the Greater La Crosse area who have never attended camp or lack the means to do so. Campers learn about nature and archery and try fishing, canoeing, and hiking. It is run as a partnership among local organizations including Gateway Area Council Scouting, the Boys & Girls Clubs, and the YMCA.
