This was such a fun camp where at first I was scared and intimidated by all the new people but by the time the end of the week came and we had to go home, we were all a family and we cried and laughed together! We shared just such a wonderful experience together as a family and the councilors and the Jounior Councilors were the best people ever!

Went to this camp every summer, starting 40 years ago. The memories made here are priceless. It is nestled deep in the woods and always had a classic camp charm. We are now living out of state. I wish I was able to send my son here. Fortunately we have found the local 4-H camp here is just as wonderful. 4-H continues to do an amazing job at creating summer-time memories that will last a lifetime.

I cannot recommend this camp enough!!! My son went for his first time this summer with one of his best friends, and he had an absolute blast! The camp is so well run; Ben is an absolute pleasure, and is so kind and helpful; and all of the counselors are extremely caring, experienced, and super fun. It's a week for kids to just be kids and connect with the beautiful surroundings of Stokes State Forest, as well as with each other. The activities are endless, and they really make sure to cater to every kid and provide fun for everyone. My son has such precious memories and he will definitely be going back next year =)

My daughter's been going to LGC every summer since she was 9 and absolutely loves it. It's a good, old fashioned summer camp, the staff are all incredibly nice and great with the kids. She loves the food and all the activities at camp, and has made some great friends from all over that she stays in touch with. We couldn't be happier with this camp. It's amazing.

This is the camp experience you are looking for. This is my child's 4th year and every year she can't wait to go back. There are traditional camp activities including swimming in a lake, canoeing early morning rooster runs and counselors full of hospitality and fun. Each week also has its own exciting theme and no one is allowed electronic devices. So if you are looking for a place for child experience the beautiful outdoors without even missing their phones this is the place for you!!
