Powered by GoogleMy first time going to water aerobics class. Instructor was Mary Beth. I signed in at the front and paid for a day pass and asked the front desk if there was room for me to be added to the class. She stated there was multiple spaces and proceeded to take my name down and add me to the session. As I got into the water I was approached by the instructor stating I was a new face and she needed to make sure I was signed up for this class. I assured her I was she proceeded to question me as if I wasn't telling the truth. She gave me a dirty look and questioned me a total of three times. I stated three times I was on the list and felt called out and picked on. She didn't ask anyone else and rolled her eyes when I stated she could check the list. I gave her a dirty look after she rolled her eyes because she embarrassed me in front of the whole class. I was told by others she liked to kick people out that were not on the list and I truly think she thought I would be one that she was going to kick out today. As I didn't live up to her satisfaction she became annoyed just my opinion. I told the front desk that I wasn't signing up for a membership based on how I was treated. I'm sure I'm not the only one that has experience issues with her she was rude and probably has ran many people off. It's not the policy that upset me it's the fact I was the only person she questioned. I train for a living and I would never single one person out in my class unless they were not following instructions. She could have came in and stated to the entire class hey as a reminder this class requires that you sign up on a list and if you have not now is the time to exit out of the pool and do so. But to pick on me because I was new and to keep harping on it with me even after I gave my answer was uncalled for. Ask me once ok I get it but to keep going in front of everyone was wrong. She needs to be trained on how to talk to people.
It's a big pool, and decent gym. But the price for a day pass is a complete rip off. The money you can spend on that you'd be better off putting into your gas tank and bringing yourself to a different place to swim.
Senior lunch for $2, reservations required, Silver Center. Busy but friendly when we visited. Clean and bright. Plenty of parking.
I love this place! I use mostly the pool area. The staff are so wonderful! I love how they care for the elderly community through events and space to lounge. —. The hot tub is huge and deep, so you can fully enjoy a soak. The locker rooms are always very clean, just as the whole establishment. Rates are great and they accept most discount programs (like mine through my job).
I was at Liberty Community Center for the Luzicka Ballet performance of The Nutcracker. It was a very bustling place that evening with regulars working out. There is a comfortable waiting area with vending machines. The staff are super helpful and professional.
