Let There Be Rock on MacDade is a music school in Folsom that runs week-long summer rock camps Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., from mid-June to the end of July. Campers pick Band Camp, Songwriting Camp or Heavy Metal Camp each week, and every week ends with a live performance at a local venue. Youth programs serve ages 6-17 in a space with rehearsal rooms, a performance stage and a lounge. The school runs a Sponsor-A-Student fund and the Sean Long Scholarship Fund to help families with tuition.

He has never wanted to miss a class or event - in fact we have to drag him out every time. We've tried a number of local school and this is hands down the best. John and Melissa have put together something truly special. The staff is wonderful and tops at what they do. The other students are friendly and just really nice kids. They lift each other up. My kid ( With ASD) has a hard time making friends and feeling confident and this school has made him feel like every kid should feel, welcomed and he has gained so much confidence since joining the band program. He started out with just guitar lessons and now he's into singing lessons. This school is also a safe place for teens to hang out with peers and enjoy making music together or just to hang out.
