Powered by GoogleI signed my 7-year-old son up for Legacy Hoops because I grew up playing for 43 Hoops. Unfortunately, the experience was below average (and I'm being nice).... The coaches largely just stand around and don’t consistently stop play to teach fundamentals or correct technique. Most sessions are a few basic drills followed by 5-on-5, where the kids run around like aimless chickens -- without any structure, coaching, or skill development. As a former player, it’s extremely frustrating to watch because there’s very little instruction on proper moves, spacing, decision-making, or how to actually play the game. Rather, its the "coaches" just watching the kids run around without any purpose, biding their time so they can collect their paycehck for the hour. On top of that, the CEO and other heasd guy are rude and arrogant. Not a warm or welcoming environment at all. Their presence is impersonal and arrogant. You're just another number for them. ZERO 'community program' feel. Legacy Hoops used to have a great reputation when it was 43 Hoops, but something has changed and it's very unfortunate. I VERY STRONGLY recommend against signing your kid up for legacy hoops -- especially if they are under the age of 10. If you’re looking for real coaching and measurable skill improvement, look elsewhere.
Amazing atmosphere and leadership. Every coach, employee and owner interaction has been nothing but 5 stars. I'm so impressed with the coaches true love for teaching and how they treat the kids like little brothers.
Legacy Hoops has been an outstanding experience for my family. All three of my boys (4th grade, 2nd grade, and Kindergarten) have trained there, and the program consistently meets each of them at their developmental level. Legacy Hoops is a great starting point for young athletes while still offering opportunities for more individualized skill development when needed. From camps to team experiences, I have been impressed with the structure, organization, and intentional coaching. What stands out most is the coaching staff. They are knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in teaching fundamentals, confidence, discipline, and teamwork, not just basketball skills. The environment is positive, encouraging, and development-focused, which is exactly what young athletes need to grow. My kids leave sessions motivated, challenged, and excited to return. As a parent, I appreciate how Legacy Hoops builds both athletic ability and character. I highly recommend Legacy Hoops to any family looking for a high-quality basketball program that truly supports youth development
We’ve been coming here since the days it was 43 Hoops. The coaches are great. The staff is very helpful. Special thanks to Coach DJ Davis for working with my daughter this summer and getting her confidence up for high school basketball!
We've been going here for 3 years and love the coach, atmosphere, and curriculum. The training is age appropriate and the pricing is fair. My son has improved so much over the year and we will continue to go here as he gets older. There is a good balance of female and male coaches who both bring a strong level of expertise. I would recommend this place for anyone trying to improve their child's basic basketball skills
