Lee LeClear Tennis Center is a City of Houston municipal tennis facility at 9506 S. Gessner Drive, one of the larger public centers in the city with roughly 18-26 courts and both hard and clay surfaces for tournaments. It is one of the three city tennis centers that host the Houston Parks and Recreation Department's free NJTL youth tennis lessons for ages 4-18. Junior sessions at the site are grouped by ball colour, with Red and Orange levels meeting 8:30-10 a.m. and Green and Yellow levels 10-11:30 a.m., at a nominal seasonal fee payable to the HTA NJTL program.

★★Scott YoungAs a kid I used to play there everyday in the early 70’s (when it was called Southwest Tennis Center). I was even taking lessons from Lee LeClear. He would roll in his grave if he could see the conditions there now. Major cracks & dips on almost every court, and the wind screens are falling down. Very poor on staff maintenance, with little attention from the city. Yet, this center is still home to many big tournaments. It’s rather pathetic and embarrassing. City of Houston, do something!
★★★★Paul TreviGreat facility for tennis and tennis needs. They also restring rackets here. So many courts to play tennis and have been coming for years for tennis tournaments. Always run well and everyone is super friendly. They could use new wind breakers but it's worth the price.
