The Learning Camp is a co-ed summer camp in the Vail Valley at Gypsum for boys and girls ages 7-14 with ADD, ADHD, dyslexia and other learning disabilities, operating since 1996. It pairs traditional Rocky Mountain camp activities - horseback riding, hiking, canoeing, woodworking and fabric design - with structured daily academic work in math, English and reading, with the aim of building self-esteem and independence. Sessions run two or three weeks at its single Colorado location, and the affiliated Learning Foundation provides scholarships to qualifying children.
