The Kroc Tennis Center is certainly a premier tennis facility in the upstate of South Carolina. Lots of hard and soft courts. Well maintained. Friendly staff and lots of community among the membership. The location is convenient in Downtown Greenville. If you’re a tennis lover in the Greenville I can’t recommend the Kroc Center enough. Also a great place to get a new racket strung.

We love tennis and recently moved to Greenville looking for a place to learn, grow, and build a community. When we first arrived at Kroc Tennis Courts, the front desk staff was very kind and even offered us a complimentary court. They gave us Court #3, but when we went there, it was already in use. Not wanting to interrupt, we moved to Court #1, which was empty. We played for about an hour until an instructor arrived with five women and entered our court without greeting, courtesy, or any form of kindness. He abruptly told us to leave—pointing us out with his finger and speaking down to us. Had he approached us with respect and simply explained that the court was reserved, we would have gladly moved. What bothered us was not having to leave the court—it was the rude and humiliating way we were treated. Especially when there were other available courts nearby. Just because we are new or not “established” tennis players does not mean we should be treated without basic human decency. Respect is a fundamental part of any healthy social environment, and unfortunately, this experience left a negative impression. The facility itself is peaceful and well-kept, and we were genuinely looking forward to becoming members. But if this is how guests are treated, especially by instructors, it’s worth reconsidering. Good manners and respectful communication should be at the core of any community-based space.

This is a premier tennis facility with green and red clay courts as well as hard surface. You will definitely want to check out the pro shop for when it comes to purchasing a racket or restringing and existing one. Super friendly staff.

If you're looking for a place to play Tennis and meet a variety of skill levels and meet new friends Kroc is the place. The most helpful, friendly staff you'll find. You'll feel comfortable very quickly and the Kroc staff will help you become active.
