★Leilani SkibidiIt was a horrible experience. My kids went here for a birthday party, and the lifeguards were nothing but rude and unprofessional the entire time. First, they got yelled at for sharing a towel. Yes, sharing a towel. Their friend left hers upstairs, and instead of dripping water all over the floor, they chose to share one. Somehow that became something worth yelling at them about. Then they got yelled at for stepping into the kiddie area when there were no children there. Yes, I understand it’s technically a rule, but they genuinely didn’t know and there was absolutely no harm being done. Meanwhile, another kid went into the 16+ area and didn’t get yelled at at all, even though the lifeguards knew she was only 13. So apparently the rules only apply to certain people. Instead of yelling at the girls and threatening to put them in “time out,” maybe try speaking to them respectfully. You are not their parents. Telling teenagers you’re going to put them in time out is not only ridiculous, it’s extremely unprofessional over something that was clearly a harmless mistake. The third issue happened when the girls were swimming and went underwater to see who could hold their breath the longest a completely normal game that kids play all the time. They are old enough to know when to come up. All of them went under at once and came back up laughing, and the lifeguard immediately yelled at them saying they were “too old” and that it made them look like they were drowning. If you can’t tell the difference between someone calmly going underwater for a few seconds and someone actually drowning, then you probably shouldn’t be working as a lifeguard. We even checked the rule board ourselves, and it said absolutely nothing about not going underwater at the same time. The fourth issue was when the girls were being harassed by some boys. The boys were splashing them in the face, laughing at them, calling one of them ugly, and even pushing them. The girls did exactly what they’re supposed to do and told a lifeguard. Her response? She rolled her eyes and walked away. That is completely unacceptable. When kids come to you for help because they’re being bullied, rolling your eyes and ignoring them is beyond disrespectful. Finally, the lifeguards spent an uncomfortable amount of time just staring at the girls the entire time we were there. Instead of actually focusing on the whole pool and doing their job properly, they seemed fixated on watching them and waiting for them to make the smallest mistake. Overall, the behavior of the staff was rude, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. Because of this experience, we will not be coming back, and I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone else.
