Powered by GoogleI did not know about this music school until 3 yrs ago and it is so near from my house, no problem with parking unlike hochstein and eastman, and the teachers are from RPO and eastman. Alice is very good teacher and owner. I have been student here for 2 musical instruments as an adult learner foe the past 3 yrs.
My son started violin here at 3 yrs and years later, continues to be a happy student. I am an adult violinist that started at the same age in a more traditional Suzuki program. What really stands out about Kanack school is the holistic approach to learning music that teaches creativity and personal expression as well as the technical aspects of the instrument of choice. The teachers here are talented and excellent-- they hold graduate level degrees from top institutions in their instrument and composition and are very caring and nurturing towards the students. I started taking lessons with Alice Kanack as an adult and for the first time in my life, tried improvisation. My life is much more enriched as a result. I highly recommend this school!
The teachers go above and beyond to help students learn the instruments. Henry is fantastic with kids.
This is a wonderful place for kids to learn. Very intimate and homey with their red barn look school. They adapted with a remote-style learning the past year due to the pandemic but is now accommodating in-person teaching. My son loves learning from his violin teacher, Ms. Alice. They have been very flexible and great with my child.
A good place for kids to learn and appreciate music especially the classical genre
