Jolie South Dance Academy is a neighborhood dance studio at 220 East Park Avenue in Charlotte teaching ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, musical theater, tumbling and acrobatics. It runs weekly themed summer camps, including yoga and musical theater weeks. The studio is unusual in accepting children age 3 and under who are not yet potty trained. ★★★★★C FWe love Jolie South Dance Academy! My son and daughter have both taken classes and summer camps at Jolie South. We also have had 2 birthday parties there. My daughter took classes at a different studio and she thought she didn't like dance class. Now she loves dance! She learned so much from the Jolie South instructors, but also realized she loves to dance! There's a great balance between technical instruction and fostering the love of dance. The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable. I always feel welcome. There is coffee and a sitting area where you can watch the dance classes on a television. I love the set up because you can watch without distracting the young dancers. Jolie South is one of the few that welcomes 3 and under who aren't potty trained. I love the summer camps! They have fun themes each week. We especially enjoyed learning yoga and the musical theater camp.
