Camp Rouse is the summer day camp at the Jeff Rouse Swim & Sport Center in Stafford, a 76,000-square-foot aquatics and sports facility. Campers ages 6 to 12 spend the week swimming, playing sports and group games, doing arts and crafts, and enjoying outdoor time, with swim tests for older groups. Camp runs in weekly sessions, and lunch can be brought or purchased from the on-site cafe.

There’s a young man Isaiah who was very courteous and professional. He was apologetic for things they were out of and helpful for finding an alternative.

The lifeguards on duty appeared poorly trained and were unable to answer basic safety questions or respond appropriately to routine situations. On top of that, pool chemicals were handled in an unsafe manner, creating what felt like a hazardous environment. Pool safety should never be compromised, and this experience left me with serious concerns. I would not recommend this company until proper training and safety protocols are in place.

I deducted 1 star bc the heater in the pool wasn't working and kids complained about the water temp they were not expecting it to be cold. I like the variety of programs Jeff rouse offers overall. ★★★★★Gerard SimersWonderful facility. Wendy, Jeff, Caroline and the rest of the staff are great. Facility is clean, well equipped, comfortable and a joy...except for swim meets on some weekends. At that time it is less than enjoyable. Food is allowed in the pool area and kids run wild in the locker rooms. I operated athletic clubs for 30+ years and overall this is operated very well. Well done!
★★★★Kevin KoehlerRecently went to the center because some friends of ours were having a kids birthday party. The staff was very friendly and answered all of the questions I asked of them about the place. The kids birthday party was completely done by a group from the staff, from setting up the birthday party room, serving pizza to everybody, to playing various games like dodge ball, and flag football with the kids (and parents). There is plenty of parking since it sits near the Embrey Mill Soccer Fields. There is a 50 meter competition pool, a recreation pool and a heated wellness pool and they all sit next to each other and can be seen from the 800 seat capacity room. There are other things you can do if you choose not to go swimming there is a basketball court, or a fully equipped training room. Plus there is a snack bar if you get hungry. Why 4 stars??? Well we live in Spotsylvania and that is over 28 miles away so this is better suited for those that live in the Stafford area.
