Illumination Learning Studio runs week-long Summer Adventure Camps for K-5th graders (ages 5-11) at its Greenwood and Ballard studios, with themes built around the arts and the outdoors - Jedi Training, Mural Madness, a Wizard of Oz musical, Tree-mendous Art, Nordic Adventures and Left Brain, Right Brain among them. Camps run Monday-Friday 9:00am-4:00pm at a 10:1 camper-to-leader ratio, cost $425 per week for non-ILS students ($350 for currently enrolled students) with a weekly field trip and materials fee included, and can be extended with before camp (8:00-9:00am) and after camp (4:00-6:00pm). Families can book a single week or the whole summer; half-day preschool camps for ages 3-5 run alongside, weekly music lessons can be added at a summer rate, and the studio points families to Assistance League of Seattle summer enrichment scholarships.

We have had amazing experiences at ILS for guitar lessons for my now 12 year old. We started when he was 5. Teacher Tom is amazing and my child has grown so much as musician and guitarist in the last years. I highly recommend the program for beginner musicians. They both teach kids and let them find and keep their joy of music. :)

My nine-year-old daughter has thoroughly enjoyed learning piano with Mr. Tom over the past few years. Her skills have grown tremendously, and she eagerly looks forward to each practice session. We love hearing the new songs she learns each week—it’s such a joy! Mr. Tom is an incredibly talented musician and has a gift for making music lessons both engaging and fun for kids. Mr. Will and the rest of the staff are equally fantastic—always responsive, kind, and helpful. We couldn’t be happier with the experience!

ILS is an incredible organization with outstanding music teachers. Our son started learning piano with Mr. Tom a year and a half ago and quickly become passionate about playing and even composing. Mr. Tom has a skilled way of connecting with students, motivating them, and leaning into their individual interests and strengths. It has been wonderful to see our kiddo grow confident and excited about music. He keeps asking me to promise him that he can study with Mr. Tom for the rest of his life so I know we'll be at ILS for the duration of his musical studies!

Our kid has been taking piano lessons here for at least 5 years. During the pandemic they shifted to zoom lessons, and we’ve just kept it remote since then since it’s so convenient. We’re happy with our kid’s progress and they are still enjoying the weekly lessons. Thanks, Mr. Tom!

We love ILS! Our daughters (6 & 9) attend the after school program as well as summer camps. The instructors are wonderful, the staff super responsive and helpful, and the content (arts, drama, dance) is super engaging. Highly recommend!
