Powered by GoogleI've worked out at most of the big-name gyms around Idaho Falls, and after deciding to give the YMCA a try, I can honestly say it was a great experience. What stood out the most was the staff. They consistently greeted me by name and always made me feel welcome. Everyone was friendly, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about the members. I also want to recognize the cleaning staff. The facility was always clean, well-maintained, and organized, which made it a comfortable place to work out. The YMCA has a welcoming atmosphere that you don't always find at larger gyms. If you're looking for a place with friendly people, a clean facility, and a community feel, I would definitely recommend giving the Y a try.
Our son has been attending the before and after school program for the last school year. He LOVES the YMCA. They are always planning fun events for the kids, and taking them on field trips. They are also always available for us working parents. Every daycare worker/teacher truly shows they care for the kids, and they are always friendly when I go to pick up my son. Shanise is always super fast at getting back to us, and any issues we have are solved the same day. I can't wait to see how much fun the summer camp is for him!
Great place for kids and families!!! The learning center has a access to a full basketball court and multi-purpose room (including theater activities) outdoor bench sitting area for gatherings, a playground, basketball courts, a beautiful library, stem activities, learning lessons, arts, crafts, pet chickens and fish and field trips. We absolutely love it! P.s. And a very cute dog that likes to come visit with everyone!
Absolutely awful experience tonight with staff. Was told I couldn't stand by my son's bench. I've stood in the exact same spot for MULTIPLE sports with absolutely no problems before. Then proceeded to yell at all the parents "You need to be behind the glass!" the glass you can hardly see through because its so scratched up? THEN after the game is over yells at my wife for waiting for my son BEHIND THE GLASS? If I could leave 0 stars I would! YMCA? This is the kind of staff you hire? Wow, you've went downhill. Will never be signing my kid up for a YMCA program again after his flag football is over.
Super old school gym. Tons of vintage steel plates, dumbbells up to 120's, vintage machines that honestly feel better than modern ones. Squat racks, tons of benches, cables, everything you need to a great workout. These are my favorite kind of gyms. In the basement, kinda dirty, echoey, the sound of steel plates clanking together. It was $5.30 for a day pass in September 2025.
