I adore a scenic small town! We drove east from Rexburg and strolled around the historic downtown area and the falls park. It was a perfect day to play tourist. The temperature was in the 70s and it drizzled. We were able to walk around the area at our leisure. It wasn’t crowded and parking was no problem either. Several people were on their lunch break either eating or stretching their legs along the paths. I’ve never been to a park that has so many art sculptures throughout. They were all animals either as groups or solo and they were lovely. I took a lot of pictures of the sculptures. The sound of the falls from everywhere was so relaxing and peaceful. We strolled from one side to the other and spent a couple of hours just enjoying the scenery. I love days like that!

★Restricted Communication

What the hell is with these especially teenage employees flying around on those four-seater golf carts, the quads, and even in the pickup trucks, going a million miles an hour across the grass where both people and pets are moving in and out of shade and out from behind trees and they're going as fast as possible. We've witnessed them racing each other on the grass the other day they had the pickup truck with the trailer, and this is at tautphaus park on a pickup truck with a trailer behind it and some of them riding in the trailer more than maximum people in the actual pickup truck and they're flying through Sprinklers and yelling like they're on a damn hayride. The past few years it's gotten worse and worse and this year it's as if the most immature people have been hired to do these miscellaneous Park tasks with mostly zero supervision. It's the same on the riding mowers some of them whip around on those riding mowers and they're massive around these pine trees headphones on not knowing anything going around them. And while I'm leaving this message when are you guys going to take care of this freaking fountain? Are you waiting for someone to get sick or slip and crack their head open? This thing should be maintained every year. When's the last time it was painted or cleaned? How about you plant trees before all of these die at the same time? How about you purge the Trees of the Dead limbs that have been sitting here since that last big storm? And what prompted me to leave this message today? Well my husband with our dogs came around a tree to have a line of Park teenage employees for lying past him making them all jump back and it was a golf cart and then a quad and then a golf cart all in a line and just as they hit my husband the quad decided it would race the golf cart in front. They are reckless, and lazy.

Basketball league is dangerous! If you’re on the fence about joining, do yourself a favor and avoid a trip to the hospital. The referees should keep it safe but they don’t. Plus the court is built so that large beams obstruct the 3 pt shot.

Why won’t you put in the filler? My son has been hurt several times you’ve taken down the restriction tape park by 21st St. It does not take that long to put in filler. It is time to finish your project. You did not inform us that the old park was going to be removed. You have not finished the new park, but you have removed the restriction tape

My kids have done some activities here and played games here. It’s not a bad facility and I nearly won a car here when I was a kid. However it is pretty frustrating the way they run basketball here. So many kids miss out on opportunities because they will only let you sign up if you have a team to be on already. The kids that need a team deserve better!
