We have done these in California and Phoenix. The trainers are great. But much better organized in California. Bit of a mixed bag of bad organisation in Phoenix.

I should be writing a 5-star review—minus the cost, as others have mentioned. My son attended ID Tech camps for six years, sometimes more than one camp in a summer. He loved it, and so did we. He graduated high school with two college certificates in coding and continued taking more coding classes in college. In February, I received an email from ID Tech encouraging my son to apply for a counselor position. At that time, they said there were no openings anywhere in the country but advised him to apply in November, which he did. The interviewers said he did very well and had an impressive resume for someone only 19. He had two interviews—one for Connecticut (which declined him) and one for North Carolina, where he had initially applied. They scheduled a second interview because the first was cut short when he mentioned he’d prefer CT but was open to working anywhere. After waiting a month, he was finally set up for another interview—only to have it canceled before it began, with the explanation that he didn’t have enough experience. As others have noted, most counselors are hired straight out of high school. My son has seven ID Tech-trained coding languages under his belt, high school credits, college certificates, and is working toward a minor in psychology and child psychology—all at 19 years old. It’s hard not to conclude that this company is more focused on its high-priced camps than on recognizing talent. They tore down an amazing kid with a process that feels poorly managed and possibly handled by non-IT interviewers. It’s disappointing, especially considering he DOES have experience. I will no longer recommend this company to anyone.

Great camp! Really fun and exciting. I recommend going to animation clubs because they have really passionate instructors and also have lots of topics to learn and master. Easy to understand, but lessons will stick with you theoughout your life. 5 stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Unethical Educational Institution My son attended an ID technology camp in Portland, Oregon, last summer. He was completely unmotivated by the camp. The cost of the camp was over $2,000 for five days. He was furious and complained to me. The camp instructors are all recent high school graduates. They hire low-wage workers without teaching certifications. There are no older instructors leading the camp. They are all 18-year-olds.

AMAZING PROGRAMS! Both my kids have been enrolled with id tech for 10 month they have tried both online and in-person. They both have learned so much. The online is really good experience some instructors are better that others but they do operate in small classes to make sure they can give the best experience. Recently we tried their winter camp in-person and my kids absolutely love it. We joined the camp in Santa Clara, CA and both my kids LOVE IT! My daughter said that her teaches is one of the best and most fun teacher she had. That is HUGE deal! I met some of the team and they are amazing. Even though it was a whole day my kids ended up not wanting the camp to end. But they also were very challenged with the projects. So that is really good. I highly recommend both online and in-person, but if you have an in-person opportunity- that is the BEST choice. The whole experience is just great! And the best part is after their camp - they have a graduation and the students gets to show the parents all the hard work they did the entire week. And honestly I don’t see that elsewhere. So I give the ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars for thinking of all the things that will make a camp really a great experience. It is just not fun my son did coding and it was a challenge and I see that as a positive. It means they are really teaching you some real stuff. Camp is a whole day camp ours was 9-5pm Lunch is provided (different restaurants everyday) We love it!❤️
