Powered by GoogleIn front of screen for a very long time. Maybe it is good for middle school students, but definitely not good for younger ones such as our son who was 6 year's old when he went there.
My child absolutely loves iCode! The courses are fun and hands-on but also really educational. The instructors are great at keeping the kids engage. Highly recommend!
Edit : Mr. Palani from the institute called and apologized deeply. They also took the necessary steps to rectify the situation. Thus although the condition was not perfect here, truly appreciated their willingness to acknowledge and fix. Changing the review rating based on that. Most pathetic experience ever for a one week summer camp. The instructor seems to be a high school student who has no idea how to control the class - he rather instigates the class to act against each other and get into fight like situations. The students act atrociously calling out names to each other and even physically engaging eg pulling hair, stealing each other mouse/keyboards, unplug computers etc. The course material is way too light and gets over soon within first 3-4 hours although the class is a 7 hr class for a 5 day week. After the course material gets over, the students are there to just do their free will and they get upto mischief with no control from teacher. Overall a most pathetic experience for the week long summer camp course , will not recommend for anyone.
Excellent program, great teachers. What I like the most is the individual approach to each student. While some kids know programming already, others are trying it for the first time, yet everyone is engaged according to their knowledge and ability. My kid is looking forward to these classes every week.
I like the idea of the classes structured into a belt system to measure the progress with the increasing level of technical knowledge. My son attends the White Belt program and he has a good time learning about robotic fundamentals like gears, torque and speed. He looks forward to learning new things each week and he is very proud to complete the projects. The teachers are knowledgeable, engaging and they keep it fun for kids with playing tug of war and racing between the robots they build. I appreciate the flexibility and help to catch up on the missed classes too! Very impressed with the program!
