★Edward LewisOur kids have participated in over a dozen different productions, and they said this isn’t as well run as other theaters in Houston. HSMT basically has too many kids so one of our girls that has had plenty of parts and songs through the years doesn’t even have a single line. In other camps, you audition in front of actual people, but here they have so many kids that they ask you to send a video of your audition. My suggestion would be to cut the number of kids in half and double the price, so the kids actually have a better experience.

★★★★★Aggiechick 96I am so incredibly amazed at the talent and capability of each show I've watched from this school via TUTS. I have been fortunate enough to know a performer for the past several years, whose parents always remember to keep me looped in on the upcoming shows. Every single year, I am in a state of awe. This year, the show was "The Addams Family" (June 7), and it was the most awesome performance. The students of this school must devote endless hours to perfect their performance, and it shows. The talent is exceptional and as a person who understands music to a decent degree, I can never detect mistakes. The performances offer so much to the city of Houston, and at the Miller theater, they are free, donations are kindly encouraged. Even with the donation, it's beyond a bargain for us. I love Broadway, off-Broadway and similar shows, and these could rival those easily, for a fraction of the cost. Everyone should check out the TUTS Humphreys performances, and plan on having an excellent time. Note that seated tickets are available on first come, first served basis, but they sell out fairly quickly. The lawn seats are mostly open until just before the show, based on what I've seen. However, plan ahead. The seated area benefits from some AC, which is helpful in the summer.
