Powered by GoogleThe best league ever! My son has been playing so well and the couches are amazing with all the kids! I would give it 10 stars if I could. It’s very well organized and communication is quick no matter the time of day. I appreciate all of the hard work they put into having the league running so smoothly.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I called Carson 3 weeks ahead of my daughter's middle school basketball try outs. I told him I believed my daughter was definitely good enough to make JV, but we wanted to see if we could refine her skills enough to make Varsity. He asked what I felt she could work on the most and then he asked her to come in for an evaluation. He attentively worked on exactly what she needed. Over the next 3 weeks she spent 5 days a week at HSB between group classes and private sessions. The growth we saw in 3 weeks was remarkable and our daughter made the varsity team! Carson and all coaches are very knowledgeable, prompt in getting back to you, and each lesson was very specific to what our daughter needed. I can not recommend them enough! Worth every last penny! We will be customers for years to come!
HSB Academy and their leagues have been game changers for my kids. They have personal and group training options to help teach fundamentals and skills to take your child’s game to the next level. These skills can be practiced in between sessions to help your child establish a training schedule. My kids have really enjoyed their experiences in HSB. Regarding their leagues, they are a competitive league so be ready for that. What is nice though is the coaches are not parents of the kids. They try to balance the teams as best they can through player assessments. They also have great referees. Are the refs perfect, well no, but no human is. However in comparison to leagues in the Treasure Valley they have the better or top tier referees for these 1st - 8th grade youth ages. The coaches are encouraging and help give players confidence and assurance to keep working on improving. Is this academy or league a guarantee for success, well no. What it does though is give you tools to utilize and a league to put those learned tools and skills in a game situation.
My son has been involved with HSB Camps for several years, and like past years, this is a summer must! Each year he gains more confidence to improve his game because of Carson, Mike, and the other knowledgeable, and caring coaches who continue to teach great basketball skills, and important life lessons. Because of HSB, and their strong foundation my son loves the game of basketball, looks forward to playing on their NBA style court, and continues to improve his overall game! Thanks for all you do for our kids, and the community HSB - we are lucky to have you in our lives!
Paid$200 for a 3 day basketball camp... The kids day camp and I guess all kids camps are skill focused. I didn't realize this when signing my child up for this camp. If your child is a beginner or needs help or one on one time with a coach on sharpening skills I'm sure this camp will be great. Wasn't what I was looking for. To clarify I was looking for something to challenge my child and expose her to different styles of coaching as well as playing with athletes from different divisions whom she could learn from as well. Owner is great at communication and is eager to help with any issues. Changed my review from 1star to 3 because my expectations were based on my assumption of what the camp was. After speaking to the owner of my expectations and my child's needs he quickly offered more info and took suggestions. Learning that these camps are more for sharpening skills and not what I was thinking it wouldn't be fair to leave my review as it was.
