Hoop Heaven runs summer basketball day camps for boys and girls ages 7-16, with twelve weekly sessions across the summer at its Bridgewater facility. A typical camp day runs 9am-3pm and consists of fundamental skill development, individual instruction, contests, video analysis, lectures and afternoon scrimmages. Powered by GoogleWent to see my grandson who was playing basketball there. Unfortunately, his team lost the game. The place is a gym where many junior basketball games are taking place, nothing fancy. I used the bathroom. However, the toilet didn't flush. Otherwise, the bathroom was quite clean. Also, parking was somewhat scarce.
Overall, we had a positive experience with my daughters travel basketball team playing in this venue. However, considering we had to pay five dollars a person to get in, I was expecting a little higher standards of a facility. Here are a few areas of feedback: 1) In the women’s bathroom there are at least two stalls. If not three that are not in working order. In the bathroom stalls that we’re in working order, some were not clean. 2) The bleachers for watching the game were hard and uncomfortable. 3) It was very loud, more so than usual arena or basketball area. Do you need sound deflators on the walls.
Great facility with amazing staff! Courts are always clean and coaches are understanding and helpful. I go there for summer camp every year, and you learn a LOT. It’s a shame this place has the rating it does because of self-centered people complaining. Don’t read any more of this unless you have complaints or just have nothing better to do. About the teams, Hoop Heaven is known for them, so they are very good and will usually destroy opponents. For all complaining about the refs, you probably don’t understand a lick of basketball, are just mad that your child’s team didn’t win, and that NOT EVERYTHING GOES YOUR WAY. Suck it up and grow up. Hate to break it to you, but it’s the best basketball facility I’ve ever been to.
Having a hard time deciding a starting point. Pizza boxes still sitting all over the trash since yesterday. Pizza being served to the children and the server/s aren't wearing any gloves. No hand sanitizer. On top of handling money while you are serving food? Who does that? Unsanitary and disgusting. A vending machine with Gatorade and water that isn't working. Question why are you not providing water? Coaches spending more time shooting then teaching the students. Coaches not giving good technical training. Poorly run!! Have been very disappointed with the last three days. It wasn't worth the money. The facility is pretty nice and that is why it received one star.
As far as AAU basketball goes, if you want to see decent competition but don't want to travel all over the place, this is a pretty good place to enter your own team. Be warned though, 'prison rules' are in effect as the ref's are of the tired, partially blind, and just collecting their cash variety. The weak calls go both ways, but don't expect any fouls to go your way, especially when the game is in the final minutes. Two nice courts.
