Highland North is by far the best music school in Greensboro! The instructors are truly excellent and go above and beyond. At other music schools, you often see instructors checking the clock to end class on time—but at Highland North, it’s the parents who sometimes have to step in and say, “Can we call it a day?” 😄 That’s how passionate and engaged the team is. Donnie’s dedication and effort are second to none. Whether your child is just starting out or already a seasoned player, they’re encouraged to be part of the concert bands. And the rehearsals? They’re long—in the best way possible! My older son, now 16, is proud to be an instructor at Highland North. My younger son, who’s 10, is already looking forward to following in his footsteps. My only warning for parents: be ready, because your kids will want to spend hours here—having a blast!
I absolutely love this school. Mr Donnie is so amazing with the kids, and adults. If you are thinking about putting your child, or maybe even yourself taking some lessons. This is the school.
I don't usually write reviews, but HighLand North Music School deserves a shout-out. It's been fantastic for my kid! The teachers there are great with children—they make learning music enjoyable and approachable. My child is always excited about going to lessons, which was never the case with other activities we've tried before. The atmosphere at the school is really welcoming and friendly. You can tell it's a good environment just by seeing how happy the kids are, including mine. My child has also made some good friends there, which is a nice bonus. Plus, the performances they get to be part of have really helped my kid come out of their shell. Seeing them up there, confident and having fun, makes it all worth it. Honestly, if you're thinking about a place for your child to learn music and grow, this is it. They're doing something right at HighLand North!
My daughter has only been going a short while, but loves it! Everyone is super friendly, inclusive, and wholesome. And they offer so many different musical options to explore!
