High Country Dance Studio in Boone runs Xtreme Dance Camp, a week-long summer camp held at Watauga High School with two sessions (June 22-26 and July 20-24) for ages 5-16; registration goes through Watauga Parks & Recreation rather than the studio. The studio is best known for the High Country Cloggers, who compete nationally and have performed at events from Dollywood to Dublin's St. Patrick's parade, and it also teaches jazz, hip hop, cheer and creative movement year-round.
