The Appalachian Center for Ballet runs annual fairytale-themed summer ballet camps in Abingdon. Each summer the camp follows a different fairy tale story ballet, revealed on the first day; alongside a daily ballet class, dancers learn the ballet's history, characters and music and get access to its scenery, costumes and props, plus daily snacks and theme-related crafts. Camps are divided by age group and offered across several weeks through the summer.
