Hattie Perry Community Center in Shreveport is a city Parks and Recreation (SPAR) facility that hosts the free SPAR Summer Playground day camp, running Monday–Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, June through early August. The center includes a gymnasium, ballfield, playground, and sprayground.

★Jessica PhelpsRan up on criminals tweaked out on drugs threatening. Very very cautious with the area. You will do well to travel in a large group if ever nearby. I have met sweet and lovely folks here and in the neighborhood nearby. That is, people I'd be happy to meet anywhere again... But one stole my basketball from a child. And that one violent fool on premises. Sure, it was Summer, and a Holiday. So be cautious I'd people seem violent, or disrespectful, its not just kidding or foolishness, they intend to cause problems for you. Police actually present always.

Spacious grounds, large enough for sports, a few picnic tables, toys and swim park for kids, recreation center with court and game room, room and kitchen available to rent for events. Usually nice and quiet. One thing I dont like is the safety hazard in the pictures. These rods were placed here to support the trees when they were first planted. The trees are stable. If someone trip and fall on these it could be fatal. I dont understand why SPAR hasn't removed them.
